Classroom
If you are fortunate enough to have your own classroom then sieze the opportunity to make it a wonderful place to be. Not just for the pupils but for you as well.

Bright, interesting, colourful - try to cover every wall space. |
Include pupil's work - there are not many things more motivating than to see their work on the wall. |
Include things to keep Ofsted happy. At present this could include, what to do to reach the next level, marked and annotated pupil's work, level descriptors etc. It is very unlikely that any pupils will read any of this but we all have to play the game. |
Include, if possible, character and some humour - I have a collection of 1970s record sleeves. |
Smell. Some classrooms, particularly after a wet lunchtime (or first thing on a Monday morning), can become smelly. The use of a plug-in air freshener can help but be careful on which scent you choose. Vanilla and spice works well but be careful of the ones that smell like disinfectant. |
